Questions fréquentes

What does this calculate?
For a right triangle, given the two legs it finds the hypotenuse via a² + b² = c², the area as ½ × base × height, and the perimeter as the sum of all three sides.
Does it work for non-right triangles?
No. This tool assumes a right triangle. For a general triangle you would need angles or the law of cosines.
How is the area derived?
For a right triangle the two legs are the base and height, so the area is simply half their product.
Is my input sent to a server?
No. The Pythagorean and area calculations run in your browser; the side lengths are never transmitted.
