Code Line Counter — Free, No Upload, Browser-Based
🔒 Runs in your browser
Code Line Counter breaks down any pasted source file into total, code, comment, inline-comment, and blank lines — instantly, as you type. It auto-detects 17 common languages (JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Go, Rust, SQL, HTML, CSS, and more) or you can pin the language yourself. Everything runs in your browser: your code never leaves your machine and no file is uploaded anywhere.
How to use this tool
- Open the tool, optionally select your language (or leave it on Auto-detect), and paste your code into the text area.
- Results appear instantly — total lines, pure code lines, comment lines, inline-comment lines, and blank lines, each with a percentage share.
- Click Copy next to any count to copy the number to your clipboard, or read the visual bar breakdown to compare the composition at a glance.
