About Domain Name Generator

The Domain Name Generator turns a few keywords into a list of brandable domain ideas. You type one or more keywords separated by commas or spaces, choose which top-level domains to include, and the tool combines them into full domain names like getspark.io or sparkhq.app. It is a brainstorming aid for naming products, side projects, and startups, not a registration service.

The generation is deterministic and runs as pure JavaScript: the same keywords and TLDs always produce the same list. For each cleaned keyword the tool builds several base names — the bare keyword, the keyword with a startup-style prefix (get, try, go, my, use), and the keyword with a common suffix (app, hq, hub, ly, ify, now). When you enter two or more keywords it also creates compound bases by joining keyword pairs in both orders, so spark and cloud yield sparkcloud and cloudspark. Keywords are normalized first: trimmed, lowercased, and stripped of anything that is not a letter or digit, so punctuation and spaces inside a keyword are removed.

Each base is then combined with every selected TLD. The supported TLDs are .com, .io, .app, .dev, and .co — all five are on by default and you can toggle any of them off. Results are de-duplicated and capped at 30 ideas so the list stays scannable. You can copy the whole list at once or copy any single domain with its inline Copy button.

Importantly, the tool does not check whether a domain is available, registered, or for sale; it makes no WHOIS or DNS lookups and contacts no registrar. The on-page note states this directly. Treat the output as a starting point and confirm availability with a registrar before buying. Because the logic is local, your keywords never leave your browser.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it check whether a domain is available to register?
No. The tool only generates name ideas. It performs no WHOIS, DNS, or registrar lookups, so it cannot tell you if a domain is taken, available, or for sale. Verify availability with a domain registrar before purchasing.
Which TLDs does it support?
Five extensions popular with web products and startups: .com, .io, .app, .dev, and .co. All are enabled by default; toggle off any you do not want before generating.
How are the domain ideas constructed?
For each keyword it produces the bare word, prefixed forms using get, try, go, my, and use, and suffixed forms using app, hq, hub, ly, ify, and now. With two or more keywords it also joins pairs in both orders, then pairs every base with each selected TLD.
Why do I sometimes get fewer than I expect?
Results are de-duplicated and capped at 30 to keep the list readable. Identical combinations are collapsed, and once 30 unique ideas are reached the rest are dropped.
Is the output the same every time for the same input?
Yes. The generator is deterministic and contains no randomness, so the same keywords and TLD selection always produce the same ordered list.
How should I enter multiple keywords?
Separate them with commas or spaces, for example: spark, launch, cloud. Each keyword is trimmed, lowercased, and stripped of non-alphanumeric characters before names are built.
Can I copy the results easily?
Yes. Use Copy all to put every idea on your clipboard as a newline-separated list, or hover any row and click its Copy button to grab a single domain.
Do my keywords leave my browser?
No. Domain generation is pure client-side JavaScript with no network calls, so your keywords stay on your device.
